Lavender is in bloom and is so pretty. We clipped some bunches this morning to hang in the kitchen and bathrooms to freshen things up a bit! It makes a lovely tea when steeped in hot water, and is very soothing when thrown into a hot bath.
Did I mention it is so pretty?

Mmmm, I love the lavender in my garden, but I have never taken anything indoors to dry, perhaps I should try when they came back in flower again. They are all gone and cut down, but will be back in flower later in the autumn.

I didn’t know they would rebloom – that is exciting! The little bundles are not overwhelming, but they are lovely to catch a scent of. I love picking off pieces for tea all winter long 🙂

I think re-blooming depends on where you live, here in London we still have nice warm weather until end of October. The second flush of flower is usually not as good as the first one with my lavenders, but I have even had a third few flowers in December/January some years!
